- 2 small chayote (vegetable pear), diced small
- 1 small tomato, sliced
- 1 small onion, cut into quarters
- 1/2 small ginger, sliced
- 1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 cups hugas bigas (water from the washing of uncooked rice)
- Salt to taste
Procedure:
- Boil ginger, tomatoes, and onion in hugas bigas.
- Add chayote and vegetable oil. Season with salt.
- Cook very well. Serve hot with broth.
Good for 6 persons; 1/2 cup per serving.
