Swiss Steak

Swiss steak
Ingredients
  • 1/2 kilo gluten, sliced into steaks
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 cup minced onion
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups lemon-lime drink
  • 2 tablespoons tomato catsup
  • 2 cups diced potatoes, fried
  • 1/4 cup water


Procedure
  • Combine the flour and salt. Roll gluten in it.
  • Brown the steaks on both sides in the melted margarine. Set aside.
  • Saute garlic and onion. 
  • Add the rest of the ingredients, including the leftover flour-salt mixture.
  • Cook till thickened.
